Shifter knob thread pattern
Shifter **** thread pattern
I hate the shift **** on my 2000, I like the AE **** but with a kid these days I can't justify $50-60 on a ****. I was wondering what thread pattern it is in case I can snake a OEM **** off another car (not necessarily a Nissan)
the universal ***** fit our cars very well, im on my second, due to style changes not breakage, and they fit very well, so anything that will fit a standard manual will fit, most universals dont use the threads tho, they use a series of small screws to press on the shaft below the threads.
Our factory ones are threaded though are they not? I guess I'll take mine off and go buy some nuts figure out what the thread pitch is. I'm at least guessing it's metric though.? I'd like to find a factory **** off another car as I don't care for 99% of the bling bling aftermarket ones. My stock one is a rubbery piece-o-crap though and has to go.

Well damn, I can't seem to get the stock **** off. Is it just threaded on? I can't get it to budge and hate to force the issue in case there is something additional I need to do to get it to release.
I know the Miata shift ***** fit the pre 2002 shifters so I would think the treads would be the same. The thread pattern for the miata, 350Z, and per 2k2 Max is 10 X 1.25 mm. I have a voodoo **** and I love it. Now I think I should have gotten the bigger one but I have pretty big hands.
