It's not slower, the speedo is calibrated w/ OEM wheels, so you lose some of the speed in translation, IIRC.

I have about 17 of the html codes for the faces memorized, so I will usually just use one of those instead of looking for a different one.

Extra weight will slow him down too.

If the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo is the exact same as the OEM setup then there is no speedo difference. The weight difference between the 18's and the 20's is what is making the car feel slower. That is a lot of wheel for the Max.

Use this to calculate the speedo difference:

With the added weight and wheel size, the car will actually accelerate a bit slower. It will also take more effort when braking.

The lighter the wheel, the quicker you accelerate. 17"s are generally lighter than 19"s, etc.

oh ok, now that makes sense

my friend told me that it's all about the size of your rims, the larger the rim is, the slower it is because it takes longer to accelerate.

Look up moment of inertia. It depends on the mass distribution on the wheel. Larger wheels tend to be "slower" not only because they weigh more, but also because the weight is distributed further from the axis of rotation.

i just bent the metal on the fender upwards. ABND 5 zigen shaved down the offset from 38 to 42..so i could ride around with the wheels tucking.

I like everything but that muffler. Get a Frankencar or Cattman catback and it'll be the complete package.
