so I'm in my kitchen whick over looks the apartment complex parking lot... I hear a car start so I glance out the window and see my car backing out of the space I put it in... I grab a large knife and fly down the stairs and out the door. then I see that my car is just sitting in the middle of the parking lot. I can not see inside the front of my car and there is nobody there and my car is off. So I run up look inside and notice that I must have not pulled up enough on the parking brake and it just randomly started to roll backward (on almost level ground, very slight incline if you can call it that.) So I park my car back in place... pull harder on the ebrake and then leave it in gear... I then explained to the crowd of 3 elderly onlookers why I was running around with a knife and why my car was in the middle of the parking lot... a little fun on a boring afternoon.

Samething happen to my old car. I never got into the habit of putting my car in gear when I parked the car in the driveway. Eventually the rear pads wore out and the e-brake wasn't adjusted. My brother woke me up one early morning said my car was in the middle of the street. I thought he was being an *** and woke me up as a joke. I went outside and I couldn't believe my eyes. I had to do a double take. The damn thing was really in the middle of the street and it must have been there the whole night. I guess people just went around it. Lucky there wasn't any car parked across the street.

In my old neighborhood there was a house down the street from me with a steep driveway that dropped about 6 feet.
One night I woke up to the sound of firetrucks. The guys jeep had rolled down the driveway and caught fire.
Talk about bad luck.

Oh man, that reminds me of what happened to my friends Civic. He was parked in the driveway of my house, and this guy knocked on my door and asked if he could move his car. Well we thought it was kinda weird because he was in the driveway.....

We went outside and his car was across the street parked parallel!!! Turns out the e-brake went out and his car rolled down the driveway, between two cars, across the street, and parked itself between two other cars. The only damage to his car was a scrape on the side from hitting a pole.... no damage to any other cars.... freaky.

I mean the car is only worth 13,700 at best, would you use a knife on someone? I gots 98 and if someone wants it I just let the insurance take over. Imagine a Maxima loses 14,000 to depreciation in 4 years, yikes! Not too many cars do that since the Maxima list is artificial, nobody buys it over invoice anyway.

Hell yeah...

they'd be all cut up...the only thing I would worry about when going after a theif is if they have a weapon themselves!!! thats the only thing that would hold me back from ****ing some worthless criminal up whos trying to take the **** I worked my *** off to get!! Now I wouldn't "try" to kill him, but lets just say, he won't be robbing any of my stuff anymore!

hey dude... ever seen the movie Christine? Maybe your car wanted to go for a drive and didn't feel like waiting for you. These Maxima's supposedly have a mind of their own.

reminds me

A long time ago .. I was 15 or 16 .. driving my mom's Subaru hatchback. Parked it in the grocery store lot. Forgot to engage the e-brake. Walked into the store. When I came out the car was gone.. I thought stolen. Then I looked across the street (downhill). It had rolled out of the parking spot, across the street, over someone's lawn and smashed into their front porch.

Damn that sucked. My poor mom.

ehhahahaa

good instincts, grab the knife yeah
Damn, this seems to happen to everyone lol, previous to the last time I was helping out doing vallet parking, my friend parked a 318i Bimmer in front of an old Astro or Aerostar mini van, so when the owner of the mini van was leaving and I went to get his car, I get in and seeing I am too close to the bimmer I start to move back reaaaal slow to give me some room to move out. I moved back a little bit, look forwards, still too close, WTF? i tried it again and this time gave it a little gas, so I move back and stop and feel a bump like I hit something. Then it came to me the guy working with me didn't set the parking brake, the bimmer kept rolling back slowly. I had to come back and get the keys to the Bimmer while the guy is standing talking **** to me like WTF is my Van? lol..

See, there are some benefits to driving an auto
