can leather inserts on doors be removed w/o removing entire panel?

Can the leather inserts from the doors be removed from the door panels without destroying or removing the actual door panel? I want to grab these inserts from a junked maxima. Also can the same be done with cloth inserts?

Thanks

They're vinyl, and I'd say it's one piece. Please don't tell me the scrapyard is parting out the door panel, the insert, etc. I'd say .50 for the vinyl insert and .25 for the rest of it!

not sure, i took my panel off cause the insert on the leather ones has these clips that go thru the panel and bend ( to keep it in place) the cloth ones have no little clips, they are just 'glued' in somehow.

It is possiable to insert the leather inserts into cloth door panels, you just have to cut the slits, you should look to pay no more than $60 for all four inserts at the yard, if they want more tell them to screw. I bought my whole leather interior of $250 but i was lucky , thats what you get for looking around though

my cloth ones were just glued in, tried to size them up and cut my own vinyl ones, ended up being quite a PIA, I gave up.

"leather" ones have the little tabs that go through the panel and hold them in. Cloth is just glued on but the panels with cloth have a raised area that the cloth is glued to. I got the leather inserts. I didn't bother cutting the holes, I simply used epoxy and glued the whole insert on the door panel. I left the metal backing on and everything. Mine came out fine. I tried all sorts of glue before I finally used epoxy. Epoxy is the only stuff that really holds them in.

They are not real leather. I actually wish I didn't have them

I'm in southern Cal. and I would give my left nut just to have a junkyard near me!!!! I'm so jealous of those stories about people getting 4 black leather Infiniti I30 headrests for $20.
