battery and brake lights come on...

this is the second time this has happened... when driving the brake and battery light come on at the same time... they flicker as its in gear... itll flicker when you get on and off the gas.. on the pedal - light goes off, off the pedal - light stays on. like a loose wire or something.. i got annoyed so i just gassed it in 6th gear.. lights go off and stay off, no problems.. has this happened to anyone else? maybe the next time it comes on.. ill try to keep it on and take it to the dealer before my warranty runs out..

it might be either a bad battery or bad alternator... this happen to my uncle's rodeo before and we changed the battery and the alternator b/c they were both bad and the lights never came back on

That is correct...its an alert that the system has dropped below 10V, have it checked out immediately.

i have an optima battery in the thing... i should jus check the alternator again.. just in case.. but its strange.. the car starts normal... runs normal.. then it comes on and flickers.. then it goes away.... i was on the beltway when this happened.. as the car was moving.. i took it out of gear, revved the engine.. battery and brake light stay on..as if they are connected wit the same wire.. i put it back in gear and it goes off as i accelerate..

it could be a slew of things. Bring it to the dealer and have everything checked out. My Pontiac Grand Am was doing the same thing. Spent over $200.00 in parts to get it going, but missed 1 part. Took it to pepboys, and $300 later ($500.00 in total) it was 1 part I missed. soooooo, if it still under warranty, go to the dealer now.

As E55 already stated, telltale signs of a bad alternator or a slipping serp. belt

Dude you need to check the output of the alternator--Nissan decided to have those 2 lights come on when the system detects a problem with the charging system--because people would ignore a battery light--I seen the lights come on when the alternator is still good but the diodes in the alternator were starting to go bad. so check the voltage when the vehicle is running should get at least 13.8 or higher
