I'd like to read comments on after market trans oil coolers. Are they necessary for regular driving?

Hi and welcome!

There are lots of posting on this subject. Just go to the upper right corner and click on "search". Type in the key word, "tranny" and you get a listing of postings on the subject.

I think its good insurance for the car, whether stock or modded, as it will extend the life of the tranny.

I would also flush your ATF every 20-30K miles.

I get a drain and refill every 15k. My mechanic does it for close to nothing, and it's worth the peace of mind.

A full flush and refill with normal ATF will cost $100, $200 total if you go with Redline D4 ATF.
