Front Strut Brace on 03 with HLSD?

I just found out that apparently the Stillen front strut tower brace will not fit on my 03' with HLSD.

First off, can anyone suggest a brand of bar that will work with this particular model?

Secondly, does anyone know why the brace wont fit in the first place, and if there is a work around for it?

Thanks a lot!

I spoke to the people at SCO, and was reading on Stillen's product description that it would not work with it.

It fits.. You just have to add a few washer to raise the bar. It rubs againts the motor. I still have to do this my self, but is on there.

get a generic fstb. about 4 times cheaper and does the same thing. i heard good things about otto fstbs from people her on .org. stillen charges extra for the name. my fstb loox identical to the stillen one. i dont know if the quality is the same, or hardness of the metal, but for $40 i can't complain. www.ebay.com.

I have a 6 speed with HLSD and have had an eBay FSTB and now have an OTTO FSTB, which is a Stillen rip-off... they both fit fine w/o touching anything, I never needed washers or spacers or whatever.

do you notice better cornering with the otto fstb?
i found a few on ebay for about the same price(s) as the generic ones, but is it worth swapping for my current one...

I thought there was a slight difference, but it was probably my imagination... read my comments here:

Its not really worth switching... I just did it cuz I got the OTTO for cheap.... its not even worth selling the eBay bar because ya can get it brand new for $25 shipped. Oh well...
