how to hotwire an escort x50?

do you guys know of any how-to's?i really dont want a wire hanging on the dash..any help would be so appreciated

could go off the sunroof power if you want it up by the mirror, it has a 12v switched wire that would work perfectly.

hotwire? why are u trying to steal JUST a radar? take the entire car if ure already inside....


MrGone is correct about the hardwiring just make sure u meter everything first

Not sure if this will help you it for the 6th gen but maybe this could give you an idea Hard Wired Radar Detector

the power wire was long enough on mine that I was able to cut the cig lighter adapter off and run the wire along the headliner and down the a-pillar to the fuse box and just tapped in from there.

No problems for 2+ years...
