gauges

i seen Sarins car domain page, with the reverse glow gagues installed

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/266027/3

it seems hard to see the needles (is it just the camera flash??) and at night it seems like its not bright enough, how do you like it Sarin??

does anyone else have them? how do you like them???

i seen the digitial gaguges at the yard i was thinking of getting them if it had same plugs n stuff?? does it?? would that be cool, i think it would

Probably the flash, the needles are pretty visible. You can adjust the dimmer on the gauges too for the best combo with the needles.

As for the digital gauges, if you don't have em, stay far away from em. They aren't as accurate if you ask me.

did you try them in yours??? whats not as accurate speed or everything is off???, i think i would still use it, idk how it looks at night though

how much you think the digitial cluster would cost from a junk yard??

does it have all the same hookups???

im wondering because the reverse glow gauges cost like 20 25 shipped off ebay (idk what you got urs for) but if i could get the whole dig cluster for that i would rather have it

Speed is one of them....I've seen a couple of cars that came with them. Besides, from what I heard, it's not plug n play either.

No it's not...a couple of the sensors are supposedly different, but there is also an analog to digital converter that mounts to the firewall that the speedo cable connects to, then the signal is fed via wire to the digital cluster.

If you do it, you'll be the first we've ever heard of swapping TO the digitals...plus, they have a pretty high failure rate, from what we've seen in the past...

mabey i will be the only 2eg gen with remote start???

good thing im in the habbit of not leving in gear when i park, i just yank e break

btw, i got the remote start from walmart it was on CLEARNACE for $20 so i had to get it, i had it on my 89 olds and it so cool in the freezing cold (but that cars air was gone) so on my max it should be even better, the unit is a Bulldog RS82P/RS79P

those cheap ones on ebay for $9, suck. i just put them in. there is no dimmer for them and they are missing some holes. as in the holes for the pins in the guages. if you are going to get them i suggest getting the ones from procarparts.com.

Use a flat head screwdriver. Be careful! Wedge it under the longest part of the needle for leverage. Then once its lifted enough to fit the flat head under the base use it to pop the needles out. Becareful though.
