I found them on ebay for $465.00 + $30.00 per wheel shipping. They are replica's but I was wondering if anyone had these or something similar. They would be going on my wifes 02 GLE Gunmetal grey with tinted windows, I just wanted to spice up her car a bit so I was thinking these with a billet grill.

No offense Irish but I don't agree about lowering a ride. IMHO and I know I'm in the
minority but I don't think lowering a family sedan does anything for the looks of the car. I live in the Northeast and would rather have my car's suspension stock. I'm not a big fan of bottoming out. I can think of better ways to spend my money. Also, I don't want my Max to look like a lower rider. That's a nice look if you have that type or car but with our cars its like Paris Hilton pretending she is a virgin. His rims will look awesome on that car!

2. When you put larger rims on the car, with lower profile tires, it creates a visual distortion, making the "wheel gap" appear more. Find a photo someplace of a maxima on stock suspension riding with 30mm offset 18's (yes, the stock offset is 45mm, so the G35 wheels are also pushed outward 15mm, flush with the fenders)...30mm offset 18s on a non-lowered max. Find a pic and tell me if you REALLY think it looks good.....
3. I resisted getting aftermarket springs for a long, long time (look up some of my old posts, I sounded back then exactly like you do now). I brought up the same points as you did. After changing them out (new springs are only about $100, not a ton of money), the ride improved, the handling of the car improved, and the wheel gap is less. Looks are my LAST priority, I finally switched springs and struts for improved handling and ride quality...looks were an added bonus. I would NEVER go back to stock with the sloppy and wrong-height springs that the car came with....
4. as to the bottoming out, you should do a little research. it's not a problem unless you totally slam the car, and forget to trim the bump stops. On ski trips I've had a roof full of gear, a trunk full of gear (ski stuff is heavy), and me+3 passengers. I have NEVER bottomed out either the car or the suspension.....
So, you have your opinion. I have mine. I think if you've read anything I've ever said, you'd know I'm not into "bling" or "low riding" or flashy rims or any of that crap.....not trying to make my car stand out....my goal has always been to "make the car look the way it SHOULD have looked from the factory"...
here's a pic of my car lowered on stock rims...can you honestly say that this car looks "lowered" or does it just look stock?
btw, my neighbor's 5-series (all-stock) BMW has less ground clearance than my maxima does, even with my drop....don't lump maximas with H&R's and Maxspeeds (mild drops) with the guys who are 3" low on coilovers....
im starting to like those G35 wheels. big wheel gap makes the car look gay, unless you drive a truck or suv. now smaller wheel gap makes the car sort of sporty. if you look at the new 5 series, or the M35-45, or GS430they have a small and even wheel gap, but still have a great ride and handling. lowering (not slamming) gives the sleek sporty look to it, and it turns much nicer than stock. almost no lean when turning sharp. your ride will be more sesitive over bumps, but it wont be harsh.
Thanks to all you guys for the great reaction and to the quick reply's. I love all your cars and these wheels I think it's gonna look great when I get them. I'm leaning on the side of springs as well. I'm really a Mustang guy (I've owned 8 of them in the past) From super mint stock 5.0's to a blown and stroked Cobra (my baby) I decided to buy the Maxima for my wife to remain in the sport/family car scene after we had a baby last year. I agree that subtle springs can drastically improve the hanndling and looks of almost any car, And the Max is no different. So when I do this (within the next month or so) I will be sure to post detailed before and after pics.thanks again

- real ones are 18x8", with 30mm offset
- knockoffs are 18x7.5", with 35mm offset
quality may or may not be comparable....
