Hey guys, my friend with X type jag(3.0L, 4 wheel drive, 227 Hp) wants to race me for some money to make it more interesting since I always talk how my car(bone stock) is fast and everything......So what do you think?
he must need some cash to pay for his Jag or something. I should do that, I should buy a new ZO6 and when someone asks me how I can afford it I'll be like "wanna race for some money *****?" Basically a free car right?

A car that's like that?
do you mean? His car is "like that" too .. both 3.0L...
Oh yeah, the Jag is AWD .. better launch at the cost of obesity. Not a big deal, and they should've done it at a track to get timeslips .. they're informative of a lot information, but most people that post in here lately are doing it on the street ..

he said the car has 227hp, he has 190hp so he did good.

Not likely, there's much more to it than that.
And thanks for pointing out I'm #1,

thats not what i said
Then what did you say?
i know about the h/w
True, and I should've thought before I posted but i didn't. Your point, or so I thought unless you explain to me otherwise, was X car rated at a higher HP than Y car automatically should win, and the other lower rated car should lose, and if not it is praised ... it's not uncommon for lower hp rated cars to have better optimized gear ratios coupled with lighter weight and a better power band.

I never said it was ...
My point again, area under the curve is greater than peak #'s, and being lighter with better gear ratios is the icing on the cake.
3400lbs is a pretty hefty # ... Especially for am AWD 3.0 w/ 206 ft/lbs

5 SPEED and why make such a big deal of it?Yes, I have posted, just thought like I wanted to..
Not a big deal, Iw as bored last night then got tired and then went to bed, I had notyhing better to do than to prove an age old point ... I forgot you were 5 speed ...
Anyway,
<-- it's now out of my system.

Nice win over the jag, but dont the jags use ford engine parts for their cars? i think you deserve much more respect for the vehicle you drive! so pick a real car to race that would give a max a hard time to beat! it looks much better when ur the underdog and beat a car that is supposed to be faster than the max! try taking out some mustang gt's for starters, you'll feel much more confident after that. racing that jag is almost similar to racing a ford taurus w the exception of awd! plus awd cars weigh more anyway! good luck!
