HAHAHAH...then he can also enjoy the paint chipping away like nobody's bidness. Do you even know anything about 2 or 3-stage paints? And how much they cost, prep work, etc?

In all honesty dude, simply have them paint it. If they want more than $300, walk away. You can install the lips yourself with some dual-sided 3M tape.

I would expect around 600 for painting a full kit plus install.

You can get the front and rear painted for under 350. Then do the install yourself. I installed mine myself. All you need is a drill, some bits, and 3M Exterior Mounting tape.

Paint

That's a bit high for a front and rear lip. But, there are some variables. I personally have never seen a Stillen Lip before it was painted. Some body kits come "primed and ready to paint" from the manufacturer. They may be primed, but are not always ready to paint. If the lip comes in unprimed, then there is some work that needs to be done to get it ready to paint. And that is, of course, not included in the refinish costs. I ran a quick estimate of how much I would've quoted you if you were one of my customers, and it came up to about $400. Every time I quote customers for this type of work, I tell them that I can't actually give them the estimate until I actually check out the lip kit 1st. It's hard to say, because some manufacturers do a pretty decent job of priming, while some others shouldn't even waste their time. Hope this helps. Feel free to fly down to Hawaii if you'd like to have it done at our shop.

i got my whole kit painted by a nissan dealership for 200. you should pay 400 tops id say for all 4 pieces, around 250 for front and back. Also, do the installation yourself, its really simple.

go coilovers...no doubt about it...

but do u plan to go with a big drop? becuz if yer not, then don't buy coilovers...just get some s-techs and call it a day....cuz dishing out almost a $1000 on coilovers and not "slamming" it, is nearly pointless....I know that the roads near u are pretty rough....i've been to west covina many times and I don't enjoy driving thru the streets with my setup....I have coilovers and let me tell u, they will eat u alive if the streets are rough....but my neighborhood is real smooth so that is why I went with coilovers

$700 that is very expensive! The quote i just got on a whole bumper cover was only $180 and installing was $76 more so mind you this is the whole cover and you are just talking about lips. Quotes were from nissan body shop too.
