does anyone have the PIAA wipers fomr custommaxima? my wipers need to be replaced and i was wondering wut my options are and where i can get them...thanks

 

i got them but it took them like three months to get them to me. if your gonna order them talk to someone directly and see if there in stock.

 

I got the PIAA refills. About $20 shipped, but I don't remember where. They are great blades. Better than stock, IMO.

 

get the factory ones.. cheaper and do the same job.. moves water.....

 

is there any other wipers other than the PIAA ones that i can buy that are better than stock....are the PIAA wipers a BIG difference from stock?

 

I'm not sure about other brands, but IMO the PIAA ones cleared the water off better and are much quieter than the OEM ones.

 

ive used piaa and bosche and rainx and they seem 2 all be about the same... no biggie

 

I use to use rain-x and I used stock and bosche blades. I can tell you that the PIAA inserts/blades are worlds different. They leave a coating on the window as they pass. I've noticed that at speed and if it isn't raining too much I don't even need to use the blades. I haven't used wax or rain-x or the like on the window in more than a year so it isn't that. PIAA are silicone and I've noticed they last longer and produce a coating. My 2 cents.

 

I ordered the refill for the driver side for $14 shipped from www.autobarn.com There wasn't much diff. betw. the PIAAs and stock, but the price is almost the same so I just went w/the PIAAs.

 

I have them and they are not any better than Bosch Premium wipers. Not worth the money.

they are supposed to be better because they are "silicone rubber" which can withstand "severve conditions". i haven't used them but they are $20ea, so $40 for driver and passenger. i'm not the person to spend $40 on wiper blades because they work as good as high quality $7 blades (michelin, rainx, tripleblade)

 

i've had them for 4 yrs...and no problems...works great...but it's about time i get some refills.. ..don't get the CF ones....they started to fade.....

 

I like the PIAA's a lot better. I live in Utah where I see 100-110 deg everyday in the summer and 0-20 deg everyday in the winter. Regular rubber blades don't last long here. I would have to say that Bosch Premium=PIAA when new, but the PIAA's will last longer.

 

wipers dnt really matter to me, when the winter comes ad the ice is on the winshield, and i miss a piece of ice and i just here the wiper scrape over the ice, i think any wiper will be done after winter.

windshield is clear during rain and repelss rain

bosch ones suck, and so do the factory ones, best part is tha these dont dry up as fast as the other ones

 

My PIAAs work great. Ive had them for over a year and a half in conditions from the Mojave desert, to snow and ice at school in Colorado. Even after all this abuse they still wipe cleanly and quietly. Only problem Ive had is that they dont wipe quite as clean at freezing temperatures, but neither do other wiper blades I have used (OEM, Bosch)

I got mine from autobarn as well, and I think they had a sales about 2 months ago and was like 10% off or even more, great deals. I love em, the new blades are quiet and leaves behind a coating which water beads. I would imagine they would last longer than OEMs in spite of the harder weather here, much snow, salt in winter in Toronto.

 

iam gonna get the PIAA refills...wut size does our car use? wuts the difference between PIAA wippers and PIAA refills? i take it i have to have the wipers before i buy the refills...is autobarn the cheapest place to buy the actual wipers? its a bout 19$ per wiperblade at autobarn...thanks for the responses

Your correct. I went to tirerack.com to buy the wipers. They tell you the proper size. I get my refills from http://www.autobarn.net/piwiblre.html. I honestly never tried Bosch but These PIAA kick *** here in FL. I guess as long as you replace the blades on what ever you use it will work out great?

Contact the manufacturer. This is probably one of these things that has a "warranty" but it's simply not worth your time and hassle to make a warranty claim. Kinda like warranties for a floppy disk.
