Call your local nissan parts dealer.. they'll offer you the platinum sparks for an over priced price (last resort)
if not them then check your local auto stores (i don't know if they're the same on the west coast)
the plugs are also known as V-power i believe, stores around here (chains that should be in your area)
Autozone
Pepboys
Strauss Auto's
... good luck

O'Reily's stores carry them.
If you go in there telling them about your Maxima, they will look it up and not come up with the coppers though.
You have to tell them to look up BKR5E-11.
They will probably have them.
Depending on the store, you might have to go to another on in the area.
They are just over $2 or so.

There are other cheaper NGK platinums and they definitely are not the laser platinum OEM plugs. Go on their website and you will see. If the part # of the ebay purchase is identical to the OEM, you got a deal but I would be willing to bet that you got the wrong platinum plugs.
You can order from www.rockauto.com too.
They have them cheap.
If you know you are going to use some spark plugs(which you do), go ahead and order more than you need. That way, it justifies the shipping.

Well it's not what you were looking for, but I'd just call a bunch of parts stores. I can never understand why people have such a hard time finding them. I live in a small town, probably only 8 parts stores in town, and I've purchased NGK coppers at like 5 of them. That is to say, every time I've gone looking for them I've found NGK coppers on the first store I went to. It's not like they are some rare part or something...

alright i just called o'reilleys and he said they have ngk v-power, but he couldnt tell me if that was copper or not. he said they are 1.59. he said the part number was not the BKR5E-11, it was 6953
i just found this on ngk's site
Standard #BKR5ES-11 2382 gap =.044
V-Power #BKR5E-11 6953 gap =.044
so v power is copper? he just had like the second half of the part number? but we were talking about the same thing im assuming?

v power is copper core.
That is what everyone on here has been using for quite some time.
I don't know if you can use the others....BKR5ES-11. I have not heard on those. I just know that people on here use those other v powers, because they gave me that NGK stock number a long time ago.

Something else is causing the misfire....if you put new NGK.....BKR5E-11's in there.
Just because they are copper, does not mean they cannot be used. It just means that the core of the spark plug itself will wear out faster and cannot be used for as many miles as the platinum ones.

95% of the people on this board use BKR5E-11... yes it is the right plug.
The boxes say both 6953 and BKR5E-11 on them so that establishment must not list things by the real part number, just the stock number.

I got mine at Canadian Tire but all they had was BKR6E-11...from reading this post
