hangers on the cat needed for y pipe??

well sterling maxima and i are finally completing on my custom enterprise y pipe install tommorow after 10 hours of cutting, drilling, pb blasting, and all that other fun stuff. But it looks like the brackets that get screwed in to the bottom of the car for the rubber hangers on the cat are done for, they are rusted and not re usable. Is it necessary to use those hangers that go onto the cat ?

Your flex section will get damaged without that hanger

Get a nice, new hanger for ~$48 at the Nissan Dealer. Here's a picture of my install:

i left my hanger off since when i put it up to where the hangers are suppose to be, the y-pipe still hangs about 1 in higher then where the hanger would be. therefor the y-pipe would be holding up the cat AND the bracket...tahts why i didn't re-use them...

I got a friend who bought a brand new hanger and used it for 2 months and now does not need it. You want it? I would probably be cheap.
