anyone gone back to stock exhaust?

i have a custom b-pipe in there and i need to go back to stock. don't wanna shell out for the oem pipe. how much is one at a muffler shop... roughly. or at least, what should i expect to pay before my 'ripoff' alarm goes off? just wanna quiet my max down so my wife can tolerate it.

btw, what do i ask for anyhow? is it called a resonator?

if anyone here has a catback system, is yours available?

Check with the http://www.everythingnissan.com and ask for Cheryl. She really is great and will give you the best customer service possible on OEM Nissan Parts. Tell her the Rob or Turbozx96@earthlink.net sent you...

I just bought a Flowmaster 50 which is a chambered muffler. The chambers help in cancelling out resonations made by the exhaust. From my research it doesn't drone and is much quieter then a straight through muffler yet still throaty. Right now I have a Greedy and my wife is not happy with the drone but will tolerate it if I want to keep it. Honestly I love it in town but on a long HWY trip it can get annoying. I also have a hole in my exhaust now so that doesn't help either. Anyway a stock muffler is about 400.00 from Courtesy while a SS Flow is about 90.00 and comes with a 10 year warranty. I'll post a clip when I get it installed. I'm still keeping my Greddy just incase it's too quiet.

For best performance results, only the y-pipe shows best $/hp gains on the 00-01, and on the 02+, the headers are best.

I have headers only and the sound is nearly identical to stock but with a good 20-25WHP gain.

I have thoughts of going back to the stock cat-back on my 95 from time to time.
