We don't have rotors. We have plugs and ignition coils.

there is no rotar cap. our cars use coil packs so all yu have to do is replace the spark plugs. unless you have a bad coil pack.

Buy a haynes manual instead, and get your daddy from under the hood before he hurts himself and/or the car.

The haynes states specifically "in 95 and alter models" that no spark plug wires, nor distributor are in place.

Free advice is worth a little kidding, is it not? Or would you rather take it a mechanic/dealer and have them laugh all the way to the bank...!

Tell your dad to stop looking at the VG section of the book and look at the VQ section.

I almost hate to admit it cuz I feel sorry for the girl --can't exactly fault her for sticking up for her dad -- but I really do have to admit it.

I'm going to file this under "Sad but True."

So what if she's a girl. Equal rights for all. Unless she's haaaawt.
Then again, Fatties are kinda nice too, when a man is lonely, or hungry.

SUM41GIRLIE, here you go:
http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=33 , print this out and give it to your dad. If he's a good mechanic, he can follow these directions. Also, I strongly suggest that next time you have a maintenance related question about your maxima, go to the HOW-TO thread. It's at the top of the 4th gen forum. This will save you a lot of frustration and embarrassment.

yeah some people on here think they know everything and treat you like crap when you ask a simple question. i found they treat you better when they think you're a guy. however there are quite a few people on here that really know there stuff and it's proving to be really helpfully.

I disagree. I think they treat you better because you're a woman. As you may know, the internet is full of lonely men looking for love, in all the wrong places.

If it was a guy that asked "where is the rotor cap", they would not hear the end of it. In this case though, she got just a few flames and that was the end. And they were harmless jabs.

Anyways, now she knows our Maxs don't have a rotor cap. It was still educational. Look at the brighter side.
