Where are the 2k3 horns located?

I made an interesting find today while I was replacing my foglight bulbs. I had no idea that the horns were located just above the fogs, behind the bumper. I always thought they were behind the grill somewhere. Anyway, is that their stock location? I'm wondering if the 1st owner moved them there.

BTW-How hard is it to install the 350Z horns? Do the 2003 Max's only come with 1 set of horns? The fuse relays seem to indicate more than one set.

this is an ingenious idea, my stock horns are located behind the grill but this is how they steal the headlights, they cut your horn wires through the grill so when they pop your hood and your alarm goes off, YOU DNT HEAR THEM. i have a 2k2 and the horns are behind the grill but im not sure about the 2k3, idk why they would be in a different location. i think i might move my horns now, should have done it when I installed the hella horns but this is a good idea.

the 350Z horns are a direct plug and play, just splice your stock horn wires and hook up the new wires. no fuse replacement needed, not even for the hella twin supertones.

2k2 has 2 horns, high and low, since yours were probably moved, just unplug the one horn you found and honk the horn, this should give you a good idea where the 2nd horn is.

GOOD LUCK.

uh..dunno what they did to your 03, but the stock location is in the grille. They must have moved them for some reason or another.

PS: the OEM 350Z horns are louder and sound much better.

you can protect the horns in the grill by installing a mesh backing to the grille. Hardly noticeable at all, but no snip-snip of horns once installed....also no access to the hood-pop wire...

It is time to change my 02 horn. Need one that demands attention when I hit it. Might go with the 350z horns...
