Does anyone have a wrtieup on cutoff switches??

ok i remember some dude with a 3rd gen made cut off switches with a cigarette lighter, and one with a face of a hu. does anyone know the site?

AKA Kill Switch... just a switch/fuse you can put inline with say your petrol pump power .. when you get out the car flip the hidden switch to disable petrol pump

I like the idea, definately would keep your car still.

I had a crazy thought, about running long wires from the fuel power to a switch then back to the fuel pump. Sounds simply and easy but sounds a bit sloppy, probably and easier and cleaner way.

there is a way, but i forgot the site. you have to mess around with the wires behind the fuse box. Remeber the fuel filter fuse is on the accesory

what would i wire the switch to? How about the ingition power wire? i guess the fuel would be better though.. does anyone have a picture of the wire for the fuel?

this isnt a true kill switch but its a ingition keypad.. another oger has one, he likes it a lot

I'd imagine you could do it from the fuse box below the steering wheel... theres probably a fuel pump fuse (or similar fuse) there if you were to be able to get to the wiring at the back you would just need to trace the lines in the car to where you could readily/easily put a switch inline..

Do you have a Haynes manual ? It has all the wiring info in the back of it.

dang it i just it all back together and i totally forget about my service manual. Im gonna go grab it and try it again later. It a little hot in the garage in FL If i get it to work ill write a how to.

dont worry guys ive figured it out!!! After clean the interior and reading the service manual for a good 20 minutes i figured out how to do it. ive just finished wiring my kill switch. its not hard at all. im on my way out with the camera to take pics. a write up its on its way!!
