Anyone have the part # for MEVI butterfly Screw?
Anyone have the part # of the little brass looking screws that hold the butterflies to the rod on the MEVI? There is 12 of them 2 per butter fly?

no i used loctite super glue. I first tried loctite red and let it cure for a week but they still came lose with a screw driver. This was the best but i rounded the heads on most of them. i wanna buy 12 and replace them all.
MEVI Screws
I'd assume that they're metric and probably 4M x 0.7. Take one with you and try Lowes or Home Depot for bolts (not machine screws) in a short length and nuts. Don't worry about constricting airflow, as the MEVI is merely a resonance chamber, not an actual intake passageway. Then make sure that they're all cleaned within an inch of their lives, as the Loctite won't do you much good if there's any oil residue on the parts
The bond strength of Loctite acts on the surface area of the screw to produce the total bond torque strength. A tiny screw can be bonded sufficiently well and you will still be able to easily overpower it with a screwdriver, so it is difficult to test without breaking the bond.
You can ensure the best bond, however, by thoroughly degreasing the screws and the actuator rod with acetone or alcohol.

I didn't think of that. I am going to order new screws from nissan and go to town on them. The heads of my scrws were also somewhat rounded so i wanna get new ones in there. I am really really terrified about them getting sucked in.
On a totally diffrent note i love it. My ECU isn't here yet and its not wired up so currently its staying open alled the time but i love it. To me the mid range loss isn't bad but the top end is unbelievable
You will feel the torque loss. Get that thing wired up.
I didn't think about buying a nut & bolt setup. That is a great idea. I put red loctite on the threads and then put some JB Weld on the bottom of the actuator rod to hopefully seal the deal. Everyonce in a while I check them and they are still tight.
The part number is in the MEVI FAQ in one of the stickies of the 4g forums. I know because I had to buy them since a few of mine were lost. Now I wish I would have done a longer bolt with nut combo though while still doing the loctite.

how much were they and did you order them from you local nissan dealer or is it a thing a part i can only buy from a dealer that sells MEVI?
I know there is torque loss but it feels sooo good. Once i get into 5000rpm range it pulls and pulls.

your local dealership will look at you as if you are crazy. When I tried that the guy got mad at me since I gave him quite a few numbers that he didn't even have in the system.
You are going to have to go to courtesy or nismoparts.com or somewhere that sells the MEVI. I would personally buy a longer bolt and nut combo, but courtesy or somewhere should be able to ship the stock screw to you.
