New to the forums...

Alright, so I recently got engaged and needed a 4-door reliable car. I picked up an '02 Maxima SE 6-spd w/ 38K miles (not HLSD.. hrmph!) . Unfortunately I have to sell my 93 3000GT VR-4, but I guess it's time to let go and settle down. The Maxima will be staying mostly stock other than a new stereo, strut tower brace and possibly a CAI in the future. Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know there's a n00b to the forums from NJ.

great car to start with. You'll forget all about the mitsu in a little while. If you ever need help with your car, i'd be glad to help, i'm not too far away.

Thanks dude. It's gonna take me much longer to get over the VR-4 though. It was basically my dream car with over $10K in mods. It's killing me to have to get rid of it. Guess I'll have to wait till I have a mid-life crisis to buy another one!

Damn, that's a nice vr-4. Too bad you had to get rid of it but you'll be happier with a max then any other 4 door car in the same price range.

Welcome to the org. Nice choice. There are a lot more mods that can be done if the mod bug bites. The Max is one of the best performance 4 door sedans for a reasonable price.....and not bad looking either.

Welcome also, been all over South Korea as well (Ret Navy, lived in Southeast Asia 12 years), as for your question on cannot post, new members have to wait 15 posts before they can start their own thread, a new donating member can start a new thread right away. If you feel a question you want answered is pressing; PM (Private Message) me and I will assist you. Don't eat to much KimChi and Garlic...

ahhh I see, I havent tried that much kimchi yet but everone says stay away from it, that and kulgogi. Like I said I have my tour here and when I get back I am looking to get a used 05 Maxima SE. I drove one before I left and it is such a nice car, rode smooth, just everything about it was smooth, much different from my 87 Grand National. It was pretty peppy too!

Thanks for all the support. The Maxima's doing well so far. It's at Nissan today for the Data Dots/bracket install on the Xenon lights.

Just changed over the oil to Mobil 1 this past weekend. I also bought the last K&N drop-in filter on the shelf at Pep Boys. But I got out to the car and opened it to find a Fram filter inside! Those *****! Still doesn't compare to the time I bought a halfshaft from them to find it was someone's returned core!

You may want to invest in a rear sway bar as well. One of the better suspension/handling upgrades for the 5th gen.

Hey, welcome to the org. I'm guessing you know about 3si.org...3000GT/Stealth international. My brother has a 95 SL and a 94 VR-4 and is always on there. If you could sell it anywhere it would be there...and I know it would go to a good owner

Lurking for a week or two

My first post of ??

I have several hundred posts on various Sportscar forums.

I have just purchased my 6th Maxima, an '04 SE. I traded my #3 ('95 GLE/92k miles).

My wife has #5, an '02 GLE. We traded my #4 a '97 SE/5sp).

#1 was an '87, #2 was a '94.

Wow, I think the 15 post rule has brought in more donations than all other benefits combined evAr!

Just know one thing Donating Newbs, donate or not, your repost threads will be locked and buried. So pleeeeease use Search before starting new threads just b/c you can. Oh yeah, Sticky is the better than search.

Remember, don't get too stuck on the sticky, because if you stick to the sticky too much we won't have much of a forum to stick too and that would just stink...
