JWT vs MONSTERFLOW
JWT vs MONSTERFLOW
I was wondering which one to get for my cattman hybrid intake. it's a 30$ difference in price, but if the jwt is a lot better than the monsterflow, i'd probably rather get that instead.
cattman said the JWT POP and monsterflow are better than the K&N for TWO reasons, and thats air flow, and re-oiling may cause MAF sensor problems. read it on his posts here:

one or the other looks good... i think you can clean the monster flow with soap and water as quoted on the website http://www.cattman.com/ (look at intakes and down by the cleaner, it says you dont need the cleaner stuff, but it helps).
but he says here:

that it must use some kind of spray to have its properties returned after washing.
im not sure what to go with myself, i like both but i dont think there will be much if at all a major performance differnance, so go with price, in my opinion, but dont take my word for it.

^^ that post says that monster flow is just not well know because a lack of advertising.

that might help, here is a quote.
The K&N has no velocity stack built into the base like the Monsterflow does, and as a result, the air coming across the hotwire in the MAF is much more turbulant - this is not a good thing. It "confuses" the MAF and ECU because the signals from the hotwire are flipping back and forth constantly. We've tried either type on the dyno, it really does make a different.
I'll just come out and say it, for the reasons I state above its NEVER a good idea to mount a plain filter directly to the MAF - the only filters I can recommend for use this way are the JWT POP filter, the Monsterflow or any other filter that has a decent velocity stack built into the base.

Ok so I guess this is about MAF adapter + K&N(non velocity stack) VS. MAF adapter + Monsterflow. I guess since my K&N is on a stillen Velocity stack then we're talking apples & oranges.
I have tried the MAF+ K&N with no velocity stack and also the MAF+ Monterflow and I got to admit that the monsterflow "seemed" smoother flow and less harsh sounding, less vibration than the K&N so I do think it does smoothen the flow
