95 auto modded vs tsx (alittle entertainment)

a few months ago when my 95 gxe auto had a mevi,y-pipe,caback,intake,and always 93 octane with no codes on the ecu... i raced my friend from work with his bone stock 2004 acura tsx 5 speed vtec from a 50mph roll. when we stepped on it we were both even until his wtec kicked in at that point his car started gaining. i proceeded to push my pedal threw the floor which did nothing. kinda like this with me being the audi..--> http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....9FC9&kw=29&p=0

he just kept pulling on me. so i decided from then on to either do more modding or 5 speed. sooooo looking at nealoc with his beater doing 14.5 1/4 stock i was inspired to get a 5 speed for sure. i now have a 5 speed and threw in the jwt ecu, intake, and mevi in there (wish i didn't cause i wanted to see what i did stock but ohh well) anyway while learning how to drive a stick i asked him to show me afew pointers. so he got in my car and proceeded to show me how to let off the clutch properly. after a few minutes he decided to ask me if he could test out the power and i said go ahead so he proceeds to apply the gas and takes it to 6300 and switches to 2nd and he starts to smile and i say you can take it up to 7200 if you want (he doesn't know about the jwt) but he never does. so with him seeing what a little modded max can do he goes and buys a injen intake and some headers and does a new 1/4 of 15.2 from his previous 15.6 at the track (time slips shown) and he brings his car to the job and has me hear his newly toned engine and i'm thinking in my head your still doing a 15.2 so all that noise means nuthing.but i not the type to down a person car so i compliment his new modds and leave it at that. my car is still in the shop so we haven't had the pleasure of doing business but i'm sure we will. i'm pretty sure i can take him from a stop but would his vtec out wind me like a 00vi would against a mevi? only one way to find out if i will be ownt.

shout out to stephen max and kash tha ripper for all the info they gave me on the 00vi swap but its to crazy of an insatll for me so i;m gonna keep the mevi.

Something must have been wrong with your car when you were auto, because you shoulda walked him baaaaaad with those mods you have on your car (hell, you shoulda atleast barely walked him even if you were stock) . Since you said that he is a 5 Speed, i assumed you meant auto TSX, because the manual ones are 6 speed. The auto TSX are slugs, like 8.6 0-60 i believe. The Manual 6 speed ones are a bit quicker (like 7.4 0-60). Or maybe you actually meant 6 speed and NOT 5 speed automatic. If he is actually a Six speed, he must be a pretty good driver to beat you with your mods when you were an auto. Now that you are a 5-speed max, you should take him with ease, BUT first learn how to drive your car right. You gotta learn how to launch the 5-speed first. Once you have that and the shifting speed taken care of, you should be able to walk him at a nice pace, even if he now has intake and headers(this is all if he is a manual 6 speed. If he is an auto, you'll put him to shame). BE WARNED! There is one mod that he can have that you will never realize unless he tells you -----Hondata reflash of the ECU. It will give him a good 30 pounds of torque and horsepower of around 20 i believe TO THE WHEELS (can't remember the exact amount). Good luck......at the track of course TSX's sure are sweet cars though (6-speed of course)

We have a comptech SCed TSX at work that I whipped the floor with in my Maxima, TSXs and TLs are dog ****. Do you have any idea what you are putting down at the wheels ? New TL is only UP TO 210WHP when 6spd, and I supprass that with easse and no VTEC of any kind.

Oh .. well, personally I'd rather have the USDM w/no ECU rather than MEVI w/no ECU ...
