without beefing up the tranny (VB mod, ect) the auto tranny wont last that long. My friend put a charger on an auto integra and it lasted 7 months..the max might be longer though... still i think it would trash it over time

Lot's of reasons mostly money and peace of mind and I just feel like cruising these days and saving money on gas etc.

If you slap a SC on your new car it will of course be a lot harder on your drive train, but it really depends on how you drive it, if you go around town flooring it every 2 seconds you are far more likely to have problems with things like your tranny along with other drive train parts. On the contrary if you just want some extra passing power or if you particapate in a occasional race the consiqences will be far less if any.
