I got the repurchase check from Nissan in my hand

Just got back from the dealer this morning, had an 'independent' inspector hired by nissan there to do an inspection on my car. He said he had never seen a car without any dings in it.. Well I guess he doesnt know how **** Maxima owners are in taking care of their vehicles... we dont follow gravel trucks. Anyways.. its all over now, I am taking the check to the bank and I am never going to see my Max again.. Of course I'll keep my eyes peeled for someone driving it around, but its no longer my car.. But it will always be my first new car.

The sales manager there said he has never seen a Max repurchased, but he did see a few Titans. Anyways, its feels good to not have to worry about the car anymore or take it to the shop. It also feels good to have a check for 13,500 and my loan of 16k paid off.

Take care everyone, maybe I'll check in a bit later to see how people are liking the 06.. Hopefully no SHIMMYs in those! Good luck everyone who still has the shimmy and is fighting Nissan. Peace.

I don't think it was a little shimmy. His whole car was shaking. He had a tread on it.

If he did, then there's NO WAY he should have sold it back!

It wasn't a horrible shimmy.. I apparently was the only one who felt it, but I was motivated to get them to take the car back.. I can use the money on a lot of other things right now and I have a company car which has zero expenses out of my pocket. I got the purchase price of the MAX - $2050 for miles.

Congrats man. I went through the same hassle of getting my Max purchased back...took a while, but it was worth it. I still miss mine from time to time....I'm sure you will too.

Congrats man! I hope it works out that well for mine. It is in the shop today getting new a Rack and Pinion, steering wheel, and wheel bearings to fix the shimmy. Already got the new Michelins but still shimmys. I would like an 06 so I kind of hope they can't fix it but if they do no complaints.

the hassle of taking it to the shop every time I turn around makes your deal look very inviting.
