General Probs. Got lots of patience or just a few minutes to spare?

96' with about 98K miles. Just did my KS replacement a few month ago, am very due for an oil change (Lazy And i'm looking for a reliable place).
ECU Reads: Speed Sensor and A/T Module problem. And i'm getting very bad mileage (12-14mpg).

I'll try my best to describe my issues. My skill level should be noticeable. Don't let it drive you nuts trying to understand what I really can't describe better, I may just go outside to record and take pictures on my laptop... My overall outlook for my maxima is to get very good throttle response - I want it to respond when I press gas all the time (is that too much to ask?). And I want my mileage to improve to at least 18-20. And finally I want to learn a thing or two.

Driving Wise: It feels underpowered, sometimes throttle response just isn't there at all! Switching gears gives a heavy knockback sometimes. (No *****shifting here!).

When the car is running I hear a humming, which I think is coming from the below the battery and just to the Right of it; there seems to be something maybe the starter. I also hear a clicking or clapping sound, which I believe is coming from; the headers maybe, or just south of those from an overhead perspective. I guess this is normal

I installed a PCV valve, not sure if i put it in right (dur me! for not watchin when i took out the old one), I put the narrow end in the hose, also it seemed a little longer than the old one, but Autozone told me it was this one. And it got a little greasy so I sprayed the hose at it, possibly in it.
Good? Bad? Dork! ? sounds right

Finally, there's this hose in the front i don't know why it's not connected to anything. It is fastened in a clamp to a thick hose which I think goes to the MAF. See Picture, it's the one behind the Arrow if i'm not mistaken.

The mystery hose is clamped onto this one and is completely open. When I have the car running, It doesn't feel like anything is coming from it. I should mention that this mystery hose is two hoses connected by what looks similar to a PCV valve but much more slender and long.

Please recommend me an easy to obtain anti-seize compound solution for installing a UDP, and also, I would like to confirm that I must use smaller Belts.

The mystery hose I can help you with, the rest, we may need more info. That hose is supposed to be open on one end. It does not connect to anything, it;s a ventilation hose, so you're safe there. I noticed this hose myself a few weeks back and was relieved to find out it's supposed to be that way.

That hose thing was bad. Hopefully everything was secure and in place before you hit it with the hose.

Maybe someone else can answer the rest?

The hose that is not connected to anything is supposed to be like that, it vents the transmission.

Post in your regional forum and perhaps a competent member can come over and give you a hand.

Seriously

You quite clearly state you are throwing a bad trans code (A/T module) and a bad speed module and you wondering why performance is crap and your getting kickback from the autotrans

Fix those 2 up and you'll get your throttle response back most likely

You really shouldn't be installing a UDP (personally, if you looking for a shop for oil change) by the sounds of it and especially not til you have the other problems resolved, just asking for trouble.

I'm just looking for a shop i can trust. I'll see if I can have it done for Friday. So I guess putting an order for the Revolution Sensor will help me. I've been avoiding this problem because I read someone fixed it by tinkering with the gauge cluster.
The A/T module may or may not be related to the Revolution Sensor, so you see, it's all inter-related.

But I guess i'm inviting more trouble by not tackling first is first.
