2000 Maxima Starter on my 95 Maxima?

I shot my starter and I found one at the local junk yard. The one at the junk yard is off of a 2000 Automatic. My car is a 1995 SE manual. Will it work?

I have one off of a 2k2 in my 95 but they are both automatic. My best guess is YES. But is is a guess. Car-Par.com doesn't have all the years grouped together and some in the later years have auto and man separate.

Nope... not at all actually. I just posted in the same thread since I had the same question and did a search. I was hoping a mod. can move this to the 4th gen area.

Are both the 97 and 00 auto or 5-spd or was one auto and the other 5-spd?

Same starter is used for manual and auto transmissions.

Excellent, thanks guys! I will see if I can source a 2k-2k4 starter for my 95 I am sick of all the gen 4 starter issues (well, at least for me).

The only reason i went for the one I bought is because it came off a motor with 15000 miles on it and mine was making that stupid noise on cold days.
