New high trap speed for me

I got to the track around 1 PM so I only got in 2 runs before the eliminations started, couldn't get used to launching much (it usually takes me a bunch of runs to get it).

Best trap speed was 104.97, which is the highest I ever got, and I think it's the highest 4th gen N/A trap. I also got in a bunch of 103's and 104's, even though it was quite hot outside and there was usually little time to cool down the car between runs, plus I have a small (and annoying) vacuum leak.

My two time trials were 14.02 and 14.03. Obviously, a nearly 105 mph trap speed indicates EASY 13's, but like I said, you gotta do a bunch of time trails, and get used to the track/car/conditions to get good times. After my 2 time trials eliminations started and I never got a clean run after that (you have to run 14.00 and up in street).

Still, the MPH clearly indicates that my timing is back (changed the knock sensor harness this week) to normal.

I sold them. Shoved the needle in the rev limiter, dumped it, and WHAM. Snapped the driver side axle clean in two. The run right before that my 60' was 1.77 ...somewhat hard on the axles. What I want to do next year is run some sort of drag radials all the time (street/track) and be consistant around 1.9xx. I'm gonna p*ssy away from slicks for a while.

But I still think I could pull off a mid 13, like 13.5, with real street tires. I already pulled a low 2.0 60 foot on these tires, I can shift fast on some runs, and the track is well preped once in a while. Now if only I could get all of that in one run.

this is unfortunate because now i will have to steal your # 3 spot on the na list and maybe ill even hit a 12.99 in a couple weeks .

I dont know though because my hub is bent and i dont know if that will slow me down

Why don't you do like the rest of us and hold your breath till next year? I'd rather take my time and go all-out next year instead. Getting the 3.5 swap and the entire exhaust system, rocker panels and some more body work done in the first year is enough for me. Next year; paint job, lowering, tires and tuning.

And I have zip ties that lower the front of my car.

Seriously though kris, you don't need much to get 12's, just go to a lower altitude, and lower your 60'. I'm not much of a driver, so if I can get 2.0's on crap bald all-season yokohamas you should be able to get a 1.9xx with DR's at a decent track.

Zip ties and a bunch of 2$ rubber studs might get you in the 12's

Napierville, mostly. Going to Sanair next Saturday, along with Jime. It's a Quebec/Ontario event.

You have to have 15 posts to post a new thread. They did it to cut down on the number of spammers visiting the site for 5 minutes and posting threads for free cell phones, free this, free that, etc. don't go spam 15 worthless posts though or you'll just get banned. Just make a few non-retarded posts on a couple threads and you will have 15 posts in no time.
