Not sure if anyone will read this, but here's my problem, and keep in mind that i know nothing about cars. I just really need some help before i bring my car into the dealership. Today when i start up my car, it rattled a little bit and stalled. I restarted the car, it drove fine, but it was a lot louder than before as if the car didn't have a muffler. Has anyone experience this? I had all my coils changed about a year ago at the dealership. Could it be the spark plug? Later on i started my car again, it just sounds like a car with those really loud exhaust... but when i walked outside of the car, it didn't sound like it was coming from the muffler. Can anyone help me, and shed some light? Also, I'm not sure what's the normal idel speed, but the ideling is around 6-700 rpm.

exhaust leak..

probable near the y-pipe to the cat... so look under the car toward the middle and there should be something either falling off or a hole in it... time to get some performance parts..lol

 

It sounds like you have a whole in your exhaust system. I have had the same problem with my 95 se and it was the flex pipe which is near the middle of the car or almost to the front. Take it to an exhaust shop that does free estimates they should spot the problem quickly. As far as the idle goes it seems to be good. Both my max's idle in that range. The only time they idle slightly higher is when the a/c ic turned on which is normal. Good luck.
