My track experience sucked this time

Ok well I just got the J-bars and ES motor mount bushings and I thought I'd get no wheel hop. Well guess what I got loads. So I"m a little confused. I'm not sure as to why. Can anyone tell me if tire pressure can create wheel hop if there is too much. I'm not going to post my times because I'm very irritated with the outcomt. I didn't even come close to my PB. All I know is I must have forgotten how to launch and then everytime I shifted to second I would wheel hop and be all over the place. So I was mainly wondering about the tire pressure.

Obviously, yes.. What was your tire pressure? I usually lower mine to anywhere from 24-26.

The only time I lower my tire pressure is if I am getting wheelhop, so yes it can help with wheelhop.

Well I checked and it was at 33 psi. So that's a disappointment. Oh well. Next time I'll remember to adjusrt that. I usually make sure to go down to 24 psi but I completely forgot until the end.

No, I would get a little spin like normal but as soon as I let go of the clutch completely I'd hop all over the place. So I kept hitting 2.4's and 2.5's The day sucked also because it was so busy I only got in like 4 runs. For some this is sufficient but I'm still in the learning process of launching and what not. My best 60 foot ever has been a 2.26, last time I went I was consitently hitting 2.3's so when I went this very last time and couldn't launch I was a little frustrated, especially because I just bought the J-bars and ES motor mount inserts. So the only thing else I had to attribute it to was the tire pressure. I was irritated at the track that it was taking so long I didn't try to troubleshoot my problem. Oh well, next time should be better.
