Anyone Painted their Intake cover?
Anyone Painted their Intake cover?
Im looking for advice on how to do this. I saw one Org'er, taylan who has painted his manifold cover bright red. I thought it looked pretty damn neat and was wondering what the best technique is for doing this, which paint, ect...

So i hear the Krylon is good for this, but the reguar plastic fusion paint does not look like it is designed to withstand high heat.... I dont want to have issues with the paint running 10 weeks down the line. l

One other thing: I've seen several painted intakes and they all look like shyte over time. There's only two things to do to it to make it nice: polish it or powder-coat it. Don't bother with anything else. Besides, it's aluminum. It'll be next to impossible to get any coating to stick well over time.

you can get quality paint from paintscratch.com as well.
Has anyone painted their headlight housing or taillight housing? I would really like to do this the same color as the body (Majestic Blue) but I know how hot those headlights can get and the paint would likely chip or whatnot.
