Anyone Painted their Intake cover?

Im looking for advice on how to do this. I saw one Org'er, taylan who has painted his manifold cover bright red. I thought it looked pretty damn neat and was wondering what the best technique is for doing this, which paint, ect...

Any suggestions on what to use to scuff the finish, what kind of primer to use and what kind of paint. I would also like to do the 3.5 Emblem and the Nissan Emblem black.

Details please

So i hear the Krylon is good for this, but the reguar plastic fusion paint does not look like it is designed to withstand high heat.... I dont want to have issues with the paint running 10 weeks down the line. l

You mean like this?

Normal car paint will hold up just fine. All you have to do is clean it: no "roughing it up" necessary.

What did you do in order to keep the hamburger protected? Where can I get good car paint in spray form?

Sorry about the slow response: They (the body shop) took the emblem off and re-installed it. Besides, if I were doing it, I'd remove it, paint the cover, and get a new emblem. Oh, and they ALL bubble eventually.

One other thing: I've seen several painted intakes and they all look like shyte over time. There's only two things to do to it to make it nice: polish it or powder-coat it. Don't bother with anything else. Besides, it's aluminum. It'll be next to impossible to get any coating to stick well over time.

We are talking about the plastic cover for the engine on the 3.5 and the spark plug cover on the 3.0

Has anyone painted their headlight housing or taillight housing? I would really like to do this the same color as the body (Majestic Blue) but I know how hot those headlights can get and the paint would likely chip or whatnot.
