.....what mufflers are out there that still have decent flow, but less drone at lower speeds? Doesn't have to be whisper quiet like stock , but something that is tolerable at lower speeds.

Its all dependendent on the muffler you have. Pick a quiet (and hight flow) muffler and you should be all set

I have a Ractive, you can barely call it a muffler because of its strait through design, you can see out the other side. Which mufflers besides stock is tolerable?

Frankencar is like stock, but I don't think it's that much better than the stock muffler in terms of flow b/c the stock one wasn't designed badly to begin with.

You should hear my magnaflow, i got ticketed at 123 decibels @ 50ft. Either way, the cattman muffler is pretty quiet, or you could go with a dynomax.

It starts to restrict top end when you start to play with intake manifolds, headers, and extended rev limiters.

Chambered design of the Frankencar:

I doubt that flows as well as a straight through... it is really quiet though... and it looks real nice...

i'll let you know when I get my cattman rear section on my car this week....

Right now the connection between flange the pipe going to the muffler on my stock exhaust broke; its not very loud and it sounds pretty good for a broken exhaust minus the fact that my b-pipe is rattling around.

I forgot that I had posted this before:

From quietest to loudest:

Stock y-pipe + stock cat-back

Stock y-pipe + Frankencar b-pipe + stock muffler

Stock y-pipe + Frankencar b-pipe + stock muffler + small exhaust leak

Stock y-pipe + Frankencar cat-back

Cattman y-pipe + Frankencar cat-back

Stock y-pipe + Frankencar b-pipe + Cattman rear section (with drone till 2500 rpm)

Stock y-pipe + GReddy EVO cat-back (with heavy drone till 2500 rpm)

*Soon to be added
-> Cattman y-pipe + Frankencar b-pipe + Cattman rear section

I won't comment on the "tone" and "deepness" because that discussion has proven to be very subjective and is more opinion than fact.

Give me your headers and I'll make you all the clips you want...

Btw, who even has that set-up? How about you make us some clips with your headers + stock cat-back for a start?
