Weird noise coming from exhaust area?

When I got home and turned off the car last night...I noticed a humming sound. I looked all over and I finally figured out that it was coming from the exhaust area. This is the first time that I heard the humming noise. IT lasted for about 10 to 15 minutes. DO you guys have any idea what this could be? My car does feel a little different the last two weeks.

I hate to break it to ya... the exhaust runs the entire length of the car, which section, manifolds, y-pipe.... I am guessing it is in the engine bay by the manifolds, but which ones? front, rear??? you need to give more detail.

It sounds to me like the humming sound is coming from the rear section (muffler).

that should be the evap system.. my car does that once in a blue moon.. next time you hear it, step to the driver side of the bumper, put your ear by that side and i'm sure it'll be alot louder.

What is a evap system? Btw..I heard that same humming sound again last night after I turned my car off. This is the third time so I'm not hearing things. The sound is definetely coming from the rear section area. Hopefully its not a problem because my car does feel a little sluggish recently.

It might sound..........

It might sound like it is coming from the rear section but on cars it is very hard to tell. Its sounds to me from the way your describing it that it could possibly be a bad motor mount listen the next time you hear the noise lift up the hood.
