Some general questions about 5th gens.

this is about a 2000 maxima.

If a max has a pulley installed, does it need a different size belt?
I was checking out a car and it made belt rubbing sounds when starting.. but it goes away after about a second.

Also
Is the advanced timing damaging to the engine? how about to fuel economy?

Is it ok to run eibach pro springs on stock struts?

How do you tell an SE apart from a GXE if it has different tires [the badge could easily be changed]

That's all for now. I might add more later.

Get the VIN and call Nissan to check what the factory trim and options were.

It's all in the stickys, a place where no $ for search is needed, just a little initiative.

GXEs have chrome door handles, SEs have body-colored handles.

SEs come with a spoiler standard, GXEs don't come with it standard, not sure if it's an option.

GXEs can have Bose as an option, but it's rare.

The 5th Gen forum called. They don't want painted engine covers or floral parasols around here.
