sorry to change this thread a bit, but I have had this question for a long time. I have a 2k max that I LLOOVVEE! but I love the looks of the 2k2 front clip better, the front bumper cover on my max with 170k has taken a beating with rock chips. My question is: Can I replace my front bumper cover + grill with a 2k2-2k3 bumper cover + grill without any issues? has anyone done this? Any feedback would be great!

YOU CANT PUT THE 02 GRILL IN THE 01 BUMPER, YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE BUMPER COVER WITH AN 02 BUMPER COVER.

MY JDUBS KIT JUST CAME AND I PICKED UP ANOTHER 02 GRILL FOR MY CAR, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE TO CUT AND MODIFY THE JDUBS KIT BC IT WAS MOLDED FROM AN 01 BUMPER, HERES A PIC OF THE DIFFERENCE IN OPENINGS FROM THE 01 GRILL HOLE AND THE 02 GRILL

I CAN MODIFY THE JDUBS KIT BC IT IS FIBERGLASS, SINCE OUR STOCK BUMPERS ARE PLASTIC, YOU CANT ADD ON MORE PLASTIC

ok, here is what I'm trying to accomplish, I have a 2k car with a 2k bumper cover + grill that is not very pretty because of my mileage, so I would like to replace my setup with a 2k2-2k3 front bumper cover + grill to put on my 2k body, Is this possible?

yes you can change 2k to 2k2 i have done it with my 2k but don't buy bumper from ebay because it won't match up on the sides. you must buy oem, ebay ones fit like sh**. also need the 02 grille, fog lights. our 2k fogs won't fit in 2k2. And finally i hope you don't have the pearl white it took 3 times to get color to match excluding my hids and first bumper i bought on ebay whole front; bumper, fogs and grille cost only $150. i bought all used from fellow orgers. Really big difference too.

Thanks pasqualer, very helpful, I almost bought one off ebay last night, glad I didn't. And I didn't know about the fogs, thanks.
I guess I have to do some shopping now, I need 2k2 Grill (luxbond, offer still open?), 2k2 bumper cover (Black pref), 2k2 fogs, 2k2 HID headlights on order (install write-up anyone(touchy subject I know)). Am I missing anything? Anyone have anymore tips?

yes you can do it but there might be a 1/2 inch t gap between the bottom of your stock 00/01 headlights and your 02/03 bumper, but yes it will bolt right on.
