Actually, I want it to be blue like yours, but the dealer doesn't have it, so I got the silver one instead. And they offer me a great deal with $25000 OTD for a barebone SE. I think this is a steal, so nothing to complain.

Thank you all for the hospitality.

PS. it is so funny that you guys seem to be very serious about the difference in speed just because they have different color....

Everybody knows that SMOKE has proven HP gains. It's "lighter" then black (so less weight), and it's "cooler" then Silver red or blue, so better combustion. The science is pretty easy to get.

Welcome and congrats on your recent purchase!

Liquid Silver has the benefit of having solar powered ego!
They look real nice in the sun. It helps you feel good about yourself as you're walking towards the car.

Also, you won't have to wash your car as often with silver. So less time washing and more time for driving.

Enjoy your new ride. Are you planning on modding your ride?

Yeah, I am thinking about it. But right now it's just a thought. I think I might get it done after seeing a lot of nice MOD you guys come up with.

The mod bug bit me a week before I bought my car!
Good luck with your max and keep posting new ideas and comments.

Perhaps the first mod you should do is get an aftermarket alarm such as the Viper 791VX.

Would you tell me more about why I should replace the stock alarm with the Viper 791VX?

Never mind, I googled it and found the answer. sound likes a pretty cool MOD, with remote start and two way remote which vibrates when the alarm is triggered, that's a very nice system.

I have the Clifford version of this alarm, love it. Besides being cool, the best reason to replace the stock alarm is because it's really only a door unlocker, not even an alarm...no other features involved. This was my first mod, after tint.

Really?
Then the manual must be BSing about how the alarm will be activated when somebody "accidentally" touchs my car. I guess I will have mine done as soon as possible.

How much did you pay for the labor? Or you just DIY? i heard the wiring is pain in the Butter. I don't think I should try to mess it up.

As far as I know/was told, it doesn't???
Anyways, it's a good upgrade for sure, I paid $500 installed.

Hi Guys. Used to be a menber years ago when I had my 1999 Maxima SE Limited in Titanium Mist if ya all remeber. Had a few cars in between, including a black 350Z. I need the sedan though for space and just bought a 2006 Max SE in smoke. Look forward to getting up to speed here and always appreciate all the help here in the past and future. The car has 51 miles as of now. Just a baby! And I have already done a complete detail and wax. Seems the dealers don't like to deliver clean cars! Now it looks like a showroom car. Got my settings all done on the comp and ready to roll. Oh, that new Max smell! Happy to be here. Enjoy guys!

The best mod is to protect your mods. I am having my viper put on this weekend before I get my new wheels and etc. I got my windows tinted two days after purchase. The factory alarm is a joke compared to aftermarket systems. The factory system won't go off if the idiots put your car on a tow truck and have your car at a chop shop. Welcome hope you get a lot of helpful info on this site I know I have. Oh and don't believe the lie about the valet key shutting the car off I know this personally. Oh yeah the silver has to be faster it just feels like it

Thanks Ramberg. No, Smoke means Smoke, as in smoking tires! Not that I am doing that, YET. Have to get her nicely broken in before that stuff.

Thanks Chernmax. Great to be here again. I took the Max out tonight for a nice ride, about 50 miles and I am TOTALLY impressed. Nice, nice ride. I only have 100 miles on her now, real tight, no rattles, great ride and smooooth. I had a 03 350Z and loved it, and a , (don't laugh) 05 Sentra 1.8S special edition. You know what I am experiencing! With this 06 Max SE it's like having much like a 350Z with the qualities of space and good ride. I'm lovin it!! Enjoy your rides guys, I am.
