hi all. i have a question. does the cel come on when you turn the key to start the car, and ifso how do you change a bad light blub for the cel. my light doesn't come on but the oil light and all the others do. thanks for the help. and yes i did read yhe stickeys LOST

 

the CEL/SES light comes on briefly at startup then usually shuts itself off after you start the car. Sounds like a burned-out bulb. You'd have to get beneath the gauges to change the bulb. Buy a haynes manual, can't go wrong

yes the cel should come on when the key is the accesories posistion ... your bulb is either burned out or unplugged ... I had a used car dealer try this on me before...the cel was on and he said when i came back to purchase the car, it would be fixed....all he did was unplug it and figuerd i wouldnt find out....

 

so what did u do? did you try to take him to court

 

I just told him that id be bringing in the car VERY SOON and I was MAD ... i never did go back .. i bought the car an hour away from where I live so it was too much of a hassle anyway.... i think the cel was just an evap code .... people at used car lots are pretty much all SCUMBALLS
