Doing my brakes tomorow

i figure i have everything ready to go but id like to ask for any suggestions. im redoing my entire brake setup for the front, and just want to make sure i have everything in order.

new rotors
rebuilt calipers
brake pads
ss lines
fluid
shims for pads

is there anything else i may need to pick up before i head to the shop, my friend said bring all the parts cause i wont be able to get anything from there (this is all done under the table) so i want to know is there anything else i may need to pick up at pepboys before i head there, dont want to be stuck in the middle of the instal only to find out i need something.

brake cleaner . . . .

I would imagine that would be laying around if you are using all of his tools.

by shims for pad. what do you mean.

since your using new calipers and pads you might want to get a "brake hardware kit" that gives you new metal pad brackets that go on the caliper. many ppl just reuse the old ones but sometimes they get to the point of rust and corrision that its super hard to get off. the kit is like $5 and it saves some time.

by shims, i mean brand new brake shims for the caliper. i think that is what you may mean by brake hardware kit, i could be wrong tho

stuff like brake cleaner i can use there, lil things like that are ok, like grease and stuff. i just want to make sure i dont go there and am missing something major. they dont sell parts so if i dont want to buy something, and leave a paper trail and the mgr is like why'd this part get sold yet no work was done.

make sure you regrease the caliper pins, use red grease, it's the best for that kind of stuff. Also, when you push the piston back into the caliper, make sure it's straight. Brake cleaner(Brakleen) is a must, and you might also want to get anti-squeal compound to put on the brake shims.

You probably need new brake hardware kit. It is different than the brake pad shims.
