People flashing meeeeeee

well, i believe its my fogs that r really bright. they r the stock ones, im not sure if they r the original bulbs, but i would say so. r anyone elses fogs really bright? anyways, i also put in new headlight bulbs too. i get flashed numerous times evrytime i drive a night, but i dont have my brights on!!....so wen i go to surprise em real good with the real high beams i dont feel like im gettin the full effect of them cuz wen u turn ur high beams on ur fogs turn off. i was wonderin if theres a way to keep the fogs on all the time, even wen u turn ur high beams on?? this isnt just to get people bak, i would also like to turn on my highbeams at night on the highway or wutnot cuz the bulbs dont really lighten up the road as much as high beams should, i did the 9004 to 9007 conversion so i think that has something to do with it. i understand my lights blind some people, but im not turning off my fogs for nobody, i like them on always. and it makes me mad wen they think i have my brights on...saturday night i was drivin late at night on the florida turnpike following a truck. well, i got past the truck and a bit later he intentionally got behind me and turned his brights on. he followed me with his brights on for maybe a mile or two before he got off on his exit. bastard almost forced me to slam on my brakes just to get him off my azz. but...im more mature than that ..how do i keep my fogs on?

1) Aim everything correctly
2) You are using 9007 bulbs in a 9004 housing, I know this works, but its not meant to be there. AIM them accordingly.
3) There is a reason why everyone is flashing you, I would too if you came down the road with poorly aimed lights. This includes the fogs, they can get out of alignment.

if they're not aimed correctly then it happened on its own. ive never touched the fogs before, and in my opinion they are aimed just fine. the question is not of the aim, its of the brightness of my brights ok. i wanna know how i can keep my fogs on with my bright headlights at all times because i think the fogs are cute!

If you're getting flashed that much with just 9007 bulbs, they are aimed incorrectly.

On the fog light thing, I know there is a fog light rewire in the how-tos, I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for but it might help.

When I did the 9007 conversion, I had to aim the headlight down to avoid blinding people. First, go to the how-to sticky and get the procedures on how to check/aim your headlights and fog lamps. Then once you are certain that they are aimed correctly, adjust the headlamps so that the top beam cut-off is a little lower. The upper beam cut-off is what is blinding people because it is way too high. Trust me, its not because your bulbs are ultra-bright. Remember that the 9007 conversion aligns the bulb filaments on a vertical position, not horizontal. So the natural beam cut-offs are all out of place. The only way to correct them is to aim the headlights down even more.

Don't assume that they are aligned, check for yourself to be sure. If you want to be lazy and not do your own investigation and work, then don't post in the forum for help. Noone is spoon-feeding noone here. Believe me...I know. Also, it would benefit you even more to read up on the 9007 conversion and the how-to stickies to understand them better. The suggestions that will be made here regarding the aiming of your headlight won't mean a thing to you unless you have a basic understanding of the mod or procedure itself.

As for the how-to on making the fogs stay on even with the high-beams on, check the forum stickies. That's what it's there for.

Okay, if I typed the way that you just demostrated I would understand the difficulty in reading something. I did not do that. I'm sorry that something so insignificant bothered you the way it did. Now, you need to be courteous with proper grammar as well and end your sentences with periods.

Why didn't you just speed up and get away from the truck. You have a fast *** maxima, just blow him away, and thats just ridiculous to want ur fogs to stay on while high beaming, if you are high beaming, no one should be around so therefore who cares if your car looks "cute"

Of course, Sir. lol
I could have sped up but I just cruised in amazement. He was all the way in the right lane, and when I went past him he went 3 lanes to the left just to follow me and high beam me. I was about to slow down and get back behind him and high beam him back, but who cares u know. It's not that, its just my brights are not as bright as brights should be, u feel me. It's almost like wen i turn my brights on to see further ahead, the beam shines higher, but not brighter. So i figured keeping my brighter than normal fogs on would help that out a little.

You have a fast *** maxima, just blow him away
Have u seen my sig lately...lol!

That is really mean JSutter. I hope a cop pulls you over for your modifications, how do you like that? I would hope a cop has something better to do that to pull someone over for fogs. As long as i stay under my 4 light limit I think I'm straight. How many Lexus cars do u see driving around with fogs on? Do they even turn off?

If people are flashing you, but you think your lights are ok, try parking your car one night, leave the headlamps on, walk about 20-30 feet from your car to a point that would be about where an oncoming car in the opposite lane would be, crouch down a bit so that your eyes are at the same level as someone in a typical sedan would be and look straight ahead. Are your headlights bright enough to keep you from seeing anything else?

If the answer is yes, then you got some work to do.
