New 6th Gen Performance Mods

We received a few e-mails reguarding the interest of aftermarket for the 6th Generation maxima. We are very willing to produce any aftermarket products for the 6th Gen Maxima.

We could make Headers, Intakes, Exhaust systems, Y-Pipe, Turbo Kit, Supercharger System etc. The list goes on and on, and also we could have a very reasonable price. All we ask for right now are under hood pics, and some pics of the engine from an undershot (under the car on a lift), this way we can give you guys rough estimates on pricing

Thanks alot, I appreciate the pictures there are very big help. It looks like the 6th Gen MAXIMA is laid out identically to the V6 Altima. We could have a set of headers on the market in a month or so depending on when we got a car in for fabrication.

headers. higher flowing IM, i think you guys are already developing one for the alti 3.5 that one should fit. Turbo charger with a t3/t4 hybrid. subframe connectors/traction bars. Ecu upgrade. that is all i can really think of that i want as far as performance. think you guys can accomadate a few of these. i am in the process of designing the subframe connectors. just dont know where to send the fabricated product to have them constructed.

Didn't that poject fizzle out SSR?

Any IM on a FWD 3.5L format will work for 02+ Maximas, and Altimas.

ECU Reflashes are kind of hard to do and they are very inconvenient in my opinion. I would definitely suggest a pre-tuned package using the Greddy Emanage Ultimate which does all of that an ECU Reflash does including it's reversible, and it's re-sellable.

The intake manifold project was scrapped because of space constraints, our present IM for RWD vehicles doesen't clear the hood, and there isn't alot of room to work with the IM while keeping the stock engine covers and hood clearance.

hmm.........

how much boost, what kind of turbo? would that include all necessary hardware and intercooler blow off valce? Would it be plug and play or plug and pray? also what about warranty and stuff, would it void my nissan warranty?

If package is right, 4-5k seems ok.

Thanks Guys,

Kam

You get some high end performance parts coming and i'll be there. By the time they are all developed and available i'll actually have some spare change.

The credit for these pictures of the underside engine area goes to 04redopmax, they are of his ride "The Red Sled" and may be useful to the project...

hmm.....

I was looking at thier pics of the Altima Turbo Install...

the only thing that I would be worried about the turbo is that its extremely busy in the engine bay, adding more clips, wires, harness', tubing, etc. would only decrease reliability of the vehicle.

I say build an efficient supercharger kit and your laughing cause you can put me down for one. Still I would get the Twin Turbo Kit If I knew it was going to be as reliable as a Super Charger.

Stupid question, how much fuel consumption does a Turbo add to a vehicle.

On average lets say...

Thanks,

Kam

Kam,

Fuel consumption is slightly increased, the difference is very minimal. It's the driving style that depends what kind of Fuel Consumption you will ensue. People that drive their cars hard from the factory aren't going to get what the dealer claims it can get.

Do you have any more pictures of the pulley system, like the surronding areas, I'm trying to see how much room there is for a Supercharger Headunit

All we need to do is get a car in then we're only a few months away from having a production kit.

How much are we looking at SSR? under 4k maybe, if so I can get one..

I'll have to hold off on the cattback and intake if this happens. I'll get the SC/Turbo better..

As tight as the engine bay is I can't see where you would put a SC/TURBO. I think that headers would be a great start for our cars.

people are already planning on the headers, you will need them anyways to get maximum performance with the SC, but make the SC first.. once the SC is done, someone like cattman will have theirs out by then hopefully..

I want a SC!!!!!

remember that you will need the headers, catback anyways for an extra 30-40hp..

look at this thread where they say:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=357542

that will put us about 300hp to the wheels

It will probably go under the battery with a driveshaft going to the pulley systems.

We're also going to be developing headers, and exhaust systems as well. So if anyone is interested in some come down for development
