I thought you wanted a real MAF, not one out of a 5.5? After all, everyone knows 5th gen MAF's are far superior to 5.5 MAF's.

If I can get another crappy 5.5 MAF for free, why not? You need to go find Deon and get me a 2k1 MAF along with some 6th Gen calipers...

So do y'all think it's totalled? If not, how much do you think it would be to fix? Also, I was only going 22 MPH when the car suddenly flipped on its side and hit the pole.

How the hell did that even happen?? It looks like a very big tree or pole fell on it or something.

I think it just oversteered in to the tree and since the bottom is more rigid the car turned on its side after the impact.

Unless the car was stopped, and something fell on it...

Doesn't it look like that might have happened, or am I missing something?

Airbags are deployed, the metal in not only bent but also scratched, and it looks like the rear wheel is bent inwards. Also, I doubt that something falling would do that much damage.

Looks to me like it was probably going fairly fast because it looks like it wrapped around whatever it hit. I don't think a falling object would have enough force to cause that much damage.

Good point. There are probably hundreds of wrecks caused by those stock potenza's and people just assumed it was their error or the cars.

Rough guess: the drive lost control of the Max going at a fairly high speed, laterals right into a curb and wrapped it around a tree or utility pole. (just a guess though)

I dumped my stock RE92s for a set of Falken ZE512s ($450 installed) in Perth Amboy NJ. It was the best improvement I ever made with the Max.
