Clutch line

Oh, about last week, my clutch pedal decided to just "drop" to the floor. I managed to pull into a near by parking lot. The hydraulic fluid was bone dry. Anyway, I call up this beautiful lady to take me to wal mart. Haha. I get some break fluid and bleed the lines..and get it home.

It continues to leak, but I just keep refilling it. Does this mean there is a break in the line?..or is the slave cylinder messed up?

My plan is to just replace the slave cylinder...$35.00 at advanced auto

I wouldn't go replacing anything till you know the problem. Most likely you have a leak in the rubber line some place. Find the leak and replace the required part.

I bet it is the rubber line going to the slave cylinder. I have seen a lot of 5 spd Maximas with this problem. Replace it with the SS one from the GD forums and bleed the system again. Until it comes in just top the fluid off regularly so you have fluid in there and don't get stranded.

i am about to replace the same line with the SS one, but what about the other rubber line before it? can it also be replaced with the same line, as in if i buy 2 from the group deal i can use both ss line to replace both rubber lines?

The SS line replaces both peices of the rubber line. In the end you will have Master cylinder > hard line > SS line > slave cylinder. Buying 2 of them would do nothing since they have different fittings. BTW you will probably need a 10mm flare wrench (closed with slot in it) to get the hard line off. It makes the install so much easier.
