Toyo Tires - Proexes T1S in the winter
Has anyone used these tires (Proexes T1S) in the slush/snow of the Northeast? I would like to put them on my Max, but I am a little worried about their winter capabilities. If not these, I was considering the TOYO FZ4's.

Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend a Z rated tire for the maxima unless you don't mind alot of road noise and/or don't mind a stiffer ride. If you going to get toyos get the FZ4 {even know I dislike these tires and would recommend them to anyone} they would be the better choice for the maxima's application.
I'm about to install the Bridgestone RE950 225/50/16 on my ride I'll let you'll know how they are.
BTW firestone is having a buy 3 get 1 free deal to the end of the month. The cool thing is I got the to match a local place that was selling them for 135.00 a piece installed. So I ended up getting 4 for ~418 installed. Sweet deal since tirerack sales them for 107 per + shipping and mounitng. It was almost like buying 3 from tirerack and getting one free.
I still have my qoute and its good for 30 days, so if anyone is interesed PM and I'll send it to you.

Do you have a deathwish??
Seriously, Toyo Proxy T1S is design for dry and wet performance. It's a summer tire. T1S will be hard as a rock during winter time. You won't be able to stop. I know this first hand because I got caught in a sleet storm once. It's like driving in snow with drag slicks on. Get FZ4 if you need all season tires. Toyo Proxy T1S kicks *** if performance is what you want. You don't care about wear, noise, stiff ride and $$$.

no way
if you are suicidal, run toyo proxes (either FZ4 or T1S) in the winter. if not, avoid them like the plague for any driving under 40 degrees. i had FZ4s on my civic, and i got caught in snow (very slushy snow) only once. i almost died. it was scary driving. i was going about 35 on the freeway, because they were that unstable. i urge you, under no circumstances should you run EITHER of these tires in snow or slush, you will be putting your life/car at risk. I am not exaggerating.
