So if you know this information why are you posting this thread?!

I rode in a V6 coupe AUTO and that thing was pretty fast. I used to have a 99 auto max and the Accord would have beat me.

He should be a bit better than high 13s. I was able to pull that with my '03 6MT AV6 with just Tanabe catback, AEM V2 and UR pulley. Of course a trunk full of amps and a few subs as well.

Stock those things run 14.5's but that's with a pro driver. WIth all his bolt on's I'd say he's 14.1 at best.

Bottom line, you'll get killed.

Depends on his bolt ons Id say. He should easily be breaking 13s with the 6MT.

Theres quite a few people running 14.3-14.6 that arent "pro drivers".

I don't see that car running better than high 13's without slicks. I don't care what bolt-ons it has. Traction would be too much of an issue.

Your car isn't going to run better than high 14s. If you've never been to the track my money says you are still in the 15s.

what mods do you have.. you never really specified beyond "a lot of bolt-ons" and the VB mod..

this is true. theres not as much riding on driver experience in a lightly modded auto as opposed to say.. a boosted manual with nitrous

I've never seen the new Accords pull 13's. Not even modded. They seem to run mostly mid to high 14's. You gotta find the sweet spot to launch those Hondas, they put down about the same torque as a 4th gen, just much more high RPM power.

I know what you meant... Anyway.. to that, but still no way in he// is an N/A auto, perhaps even non VI'd, since you never provided specific mods, will ever hold a candle to it(AV6 6MT bolt ons) .

Auto 3.0's are dogs, yes, but what I mean is that it has a lot more to do with the gearing than the engine. The Accord has very close ratios and aggressive gearing compared to Nissan's sh*tty 4-gear it's been using since 1985.

A DE-K 3.0 with the new 04+ 5-speed auto would have been quite interesting in a 4th gen body.

I know, but facts stand, the 4AT sucks ***** with a 3.0L and a AV6 6MT doesn't. The tq curve also plays alot.

but what I mean is that it has a lot more to do with the gearing than the engine
I agree to an extent. I believe it's better said that the gearing is best when fit with the engine. Such as the L67, which has even taller gears than the 4AT Maxima, but yet is no dogg in the least bit. Hondas and sadly enough 3.0L Maximas need close gear ratios to stay within their best power curve, whereas the 3.5L Maxima, and L67 don't have to, or at least it's not as critical.

Since 1985 ...wow, I didn't know that, but they did change the F/D in 2000. Though they should have changed it to the 5AT.

We're talking automatics here.

95-99 = 3.619
00-03 = 3.789

My belief is that the reason was to compensate for slightly larger overall wheel/tire diamter, because when comparing the difference in revolutions, it's only 64 rpms difference due to the difference in diameter.

I know you never said you had one, but never said you did either, and I never said you did.

But you also were very vague in posting your mods.
