brake fluid
brake fluid
im changing all of my brakes this weekend, and i just wanted to know what is the best brake fluid to use with the new brakes. im changing rotors and pads on all four corners and i plan on bleeding the brakes and putting all new fluid in.
just do a good job at bleeding, i always had a hard time getting them air free. Then i picked up speed bleeders what an awesome mod, now i can lock the tires up nice for a good stop and scaring everyone else away.
I don't think it matters that much unless you plan on auto-x or racing serriously...
I put in some synthetic dot-3 from walmart... works fine for me. bleed the lines recently and the fluid didn't look too bad after half a year in there...

Just use a brand name dot3 type fluid, it is almost pointless to use anything expensive. Just make sure that you don't pick something like dot5 when it isn't compatable with what you have in the system, I think dot3/4 mix though. Just bleed each caliper 10-15 times and you should have brand spankin new fluid in all of them. Also, don't forget to refill the master
or you'll have to start all over!
