Hey guys. My brake light stays on and my gas light don't light up when it is almost or at empty. What could be the problem? Oh and my engine is making a whinding noise.

 

Have u checked the level of brake fluid? that might trigger the brake light being on. If its low, put some more in.

 

Probably two unrelated things...
bleed the brake lines if your brake fluid was low/empty
whinding noise?
or whining noise?
could be any of the components driven by the engine.
like water pump, PS pump, Alternator,

 

as for your gas light, either the low fuel bulb is burned out or there's something wrong w/ the fuel level sending unit in the fuel tank
