can anybody run this VIN # for me

JNKCA21D3TT002169

I just bought 96 I30, and i think the car might have been flooded.
I was to busy looking under the car and hood and didn't even realized that car had new carpet installed , once I've pulled the carpet up - there is lot of nasty wet stuff down there .......

thanks in advance

Nick.

Look under the seat and under the dash. Chances are that there will be signs of floodage. ie. rusted metal brackets etc.

devilz05,
Hi , i just wanted to say thanks for checking out my VIN# I'm here in Hawaii and I bought the car yesterday, once i pulled up the carpet my jaw dropped -somebody covered the old carpet with new one , and under the old one there are chucks of wet mud/dirt/grime/slime and even bugs !!!

I was just to busy with checking out the mechanical side of the car.
I have completly overlooked the interior - which has funky odor and it needs lots of detaling.

Anyway - I bought the car for $2K, Its a 96I30 with 128K auto/bose/ no leather. The body and paint are in great condition. There is no rust on the underside and car drives straight and very solid, steering wheel has great feel to it - i wish my 97 Se had the same feeling in steering wheel

finding a good used car here in Hawaii is darn near impossible , this is one place where an 1990 Toyota Cressida sells for $4500 and 91 Camry for $5500
91Sentra goes for $2500

please email me that carfax report and i will be much obliged to you

Thanks a lot

Nick.

Carfax or places alike aren't accurate, they only have the information that has been reported to them. If your car was pulled out of a lake and noone reported that, then it won't be there for anyone to know and report on. I just didn't want you to have a false sense of security. But if I was the kid buying this car and saw that, I'd have second thoughts about the car and bring it up to the seller's attention and ask them what happened. Thru their reaction, you can pretty much tell if you want to keep the car or not.

yes it is very true, the seller was shady as hell and didn't "know" anything about the car, he was selling it for his brother which already left the island.

I will register the car in next couple of day and hopefully there want be any supprises

How in the WORLD did 5 + owners keep this car in such good shape? I was so sure that there was only 1 previous owner before me. Thanks a million for your kindness and time.
