turned the key this morning and it whineded for a few seconds then started up at low rpms (usually starts at about 1900-2000 rpms), this time it started at about 900-1000 and bounced around. made strange noises, but didnt die. then i tried to start again n it grinded around even longer n started same way (unusually low rpms). i think there was a gasoline smell too. what could be the problem? thanx.

 

I know some times I try and start the car to fast (let off the starter to quick) and then the car does not start. Then I have to wait a few seconds and try again and it starts the same way you descirbed. If it keeps on doing it I would look into it, if it stops; forget it...
