too much lag!

alright so I just got tuning up my wife's expedition and noticed a huge difference in response and performance from just some routine maitenance...meanwhile...I noticed that the max seems to be struggling to accelerate at low rpm's. However, I recently purchased my max so I decided to check out the same items I changed out on the expedition. My plugs looked good and they were denso plugs, the oil was still clean, and I have a injen intake. Beyond these items I don't know what else to inspect. I'm fairly confident in my mechanic skills and would like the max to feel efficient. It's an auto and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks for your help.

Put some of this in your gas thank, it will improve.... http://www.autobarn.net/ch67740t.html

Remove the Injen and you will feel a huge difference. Use a short ram intake, or go back to stock.

Loose the intake, go back to stock, and voila!

I actually have some of that laying around, I will try that tomorrow, but there's got to be more I can look at, or at least an excuse to spend more time with the max

yeah, I often question that big old intake, although one thing that confuses me is that it is an injen but it goes into the fenderwell, I didn't think injen's went inside the fenderwell It doesn't seem to me that pulling air all that distance would be that efficient.

Get rid of the Injen, it's the worst intake you can put on a Maxima.
I had one for a month, couldn't stand the loss of response and power, but it sounded nice. The Injen actually made the car perform worse and it's very noticable.

Do put your stock intake back on, and try some of that Chev w/ Tech that CystumMax suggested.

It wouldn't hurt to go with NTK spark plugs either. They are cheap and easy to change.
