You're right though...my car is one of VERY FEW. Sterling Mist SE-L with no S&C package, no sunroof, no power seats, no leather...I'm sure I could be missing something else.
I call it the 'Weight Reduction Package'...

The L in the SE-L was NOT for leather. It was for Limited Edition. So, not all SE-L have Leather. You would have had to get a SE-Limited with Leather to get the Leather. The SE-L had the same options as the SE but the differences were the titanium colorted emblems and rims and SE-L on the floor mats. Oh. And it was also called the 99.5 model as it has some parts from the 2000 model cars.

Name the parts that are on the 2000 model cars but not any other 4th gens.

SE's are not top of the line, goes GXE, SE, GLE. And no, not all SE-L's do come with leather. Mine in fact does not have leather, but it does have all of the other options. SE-L's are virtually the same as any SE, they were just produced after the the normal run of 99's were done. All of the VIN's have dates of late 1998's to very early months of 1999.
So true...I know Chevrolet did the same with the last of the 'old style' Tahoes in 2000. My cousin had a 2000 Tahoe Limited...
Since the companies were going to a new body style it is common for them to use the extra parts for a limited edition run at the end.

People on the .Org call it the 99.5 model...my car was built in 2/99, not in the middle of 99.

I've got a 99 SE-L, used to have a 99 GXE. No leather, but the cloth upholstery in the SE-L is much nicer (shading and pattern) than the cloth in the GXE. btw, it was made in 12/98, hard to figure how any 2k parts could have gotten in there.
